Rental of tuned percussion instruments in Berlin, Germany

We rent out all types of tuned percussion instruments for rehearsals, events, concerts and also for concert tours of international orchestras to Berlin, Germany and Europe. No matter whether you want to rent steel drums, or need boobams, crotales, tuned singing bowls or tuned alpine bells. You will find all of these instruments with different tonal ranges in our rental shop. Our tuned percussion instruments are tuned to the orchestral pitch of A4 = 443 Hz.

Our tuned percussion instruments

Here you will find a list of the tuned percussion instruments available from our rental company in Berlin / Germany. If you want to hire a specific instrument that is not listed here, you can simply ask us. A quick note beforehand: Celesta and keyboard glockenspiel are generally considered keyboard instruments. You can find them in our sections keyboard glockenspiel and celesta.

Steel drums

We rent steel drums manufactured in Germany by E.C.S. and steel drums by PANLAND / USA. The steel drums from E.C.S. are very clearly tuned and have a chromatic range of up to 42 notes. We have the models “The Queen” and “Soprano” available for rent. The steel drums from PANLAND / USA are tuned pentatonically.

All steel drums can be rented from us with a specially manufactured, very sturdy stainless steel stand and matching mallets for our steel drums.

Boobams

You can hire original boobams from KOLBERG from us. The entire range of the boobams extends from F2 in the low octave to F4. Our Boobam sets are available as a low octave set with a range from F2 to E3 and as a high octave set with a range from F3 to F4. The resonator tubes of the boobam are made of shatterproof plastic, and the heads have a very special diameter of 4″.

Both Boobam sets have height-adjustable stainless steel stands made especially for us and are packed in custom-made flight cases.

Almglocken / Alpine bells / cencerro

We rent Alpine bells, also called cowbells, almglocken or cencerro. We offer our Alpine bells / cencerro including matching stands or large stand trolleys from KOLBERG for complete octaves. You can also hire single untuned Alpine bells in various sizes, with and without inner clapper, as well as complete KOLBERG herd bells as sets from us.

Crotales / antique cymbals

You can hire tuned crotales / antique cymbals / cymbales antiques from ZILDJIAN or PAISTE from us. We rent these crotales / antique cymbals as complete octave sets or single crotale. Our crotales sets are mounted on stainless steel stands specially made just for us and are packed in handcrafted Preissler flight cases.

Suitable mallets for crotales / antique cymbals are always included in the complete octave sets.

Singing bowls / rin

We offer tuned singing bowls / rin from different regions of Asia. From us you can hire very clean tuned and clear-sounding singing bowls from Japan, Nepal and China.

We also rent tuned Chinese temple bells / dobaci and tuned Japanese temple bells / daitokuji with different tones. Of course you can also hire untuned singing bowls from us. For every singing bowl or temple bell you hire, you will  get a matching cushion and a mallet.

Tuned taxi horns / car horns

We rent tuned car horns / ball horns / taxi horns from KOLBERG with the notes A4, B4, C5 and D5 especially for George Gershwin’s composition ‘An American in Paris’.

Our classical taxi horns with black rubber bellows are mounted on a sturdy KOLBERG combination stand.

Kalimba

A kalimba, also known as a lamellophone or thumb piano, is classified as a percussion instrument and is therefore included in our collection of tuned percussion instruments. We have instruments with various ranges available for rent, including models of the famous South African kalimba designed by Hugh Tracey.
